Went to Brasa Viva to taste the Empanadas and the Caldo de Res. The food was good, not the best Honduran food I have tasted. When we were eating, 🍽️ ne of the employees decided to mop the floors with Lestoil; which immediately made us loose appetite. The kitchen employees had a shouting contest when we were there….very unprofessional. The check then came in with an 18% service charge applied to the bill, despite lack of attention given by the waiter while we were there. This is my first and last time at Brasa Viva.
Good Honduran restaurant, but I expected more. The restaurant itself was clean, good atmosphere, and lovely decor. Staff was kind and speedy service. The food was a bit of a disappointment because, as a Honduran, I know how authentic Honduran food should taste like, didn’t feel like it was stellar. It was just okay. Also, the carne asada is too expensive and stingy portions.
